The purpose of the Society is: Protecting property values, and the owners' rights regarding the nature of the land's present and prospective use and occupancy, from unjustified government regulations, or legislation; in particular from such regulations as drafted by local or provincial governments. Specifically, the Association of B.C. Landowners will conduct lobbying activities with concerned governments to clarify the Association of B.C. Landowners' interests, and to attain the necessary amendments to, or the defeat of, proposed regulations or legislation which would be contrary to its objectives.
Where such lobbying activities would be unsuccessful, the Association of B.C. Landowners, by special resolution of the members, will seek to attain its objectives through litigation. The funds for such action would be raised by the members and by contributions of supporting individuals, groups or corporations.
